Jamie Bernstein comes to the Sephardic Temple in Cedarhurst

Jamie Bernstein, the daughter of Leonard Bernstein, will speak and have a book signing at the Sephardic Temple of Cedarhurst, 775 Branch Blvd., on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. This year is the 100th anniversary of Bernstein’s birthday.

Jamie is an author, narrator and filmmaker who has made a lifetime of loving music into a career of sharing her knowledge and passion with others.

Her memoir, “Famous Father Girl,” published by HarperCollins, recalls her youth growing up in an atmosphere bursting with music, theater and literature.

Leonard Bernstein, the renowned composer-conductor, and her mother, pianist and actress Felicia Montealegre, filled the house with many other accomplished people in the arts and letters that created an jovial environment that helped their daughter become a lifelong cultural enthusiast.
